Instructions
- Prepare Shot Glasses: Arrange the shot glasses on a small rimmed baking pan to keep them stable while pouring and chilling.
- Make Lemon Gelatin Layer: In a small bowl, whisk together the lemon gelatin mix and 3/4 cup boiling water until fully dissolved. Stir in 3/4 cup vanilla vodka. Allow the mixture to cool for 5 minutes to avoid melting the gelatin when poured.
- Chill Lemon Layer: Divide the lemon mixture evenly between shot glasses. Transfer the pan with shot glasses to the refrigerator and chill for 90 minutes or until completely set.
- Make Orange Gelatin Layer: In a separate small bowl, whisk the orange gelatin mix with the remaining 3/4 cup boiling water until dissolved. Stir in the remaining 3/4 cup vodka. Let this mixture cool for 5 minutes as well.
- Pour Orange Layer Over Lemon: Carefully divide the orange gelatin mixture over the set lemon layer in each shot glass, creating a layered effect resembling candy corn. Return the shot glasses to the refrigerator and chill for another 90 minutes until fully set.
- Add Toppings and Serve: Just before serving, top each jello shot with a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle colorful sprinkles over for a festive look.
